I am looking for for any information on MARTIN H. LUCKETT
born in 1820 and married Catherine Shircliff
in Nelson county Kentucky on 1835. His two
children are Laura A. Luckett and Thomas A.
Luckett (born 1842). Looking for his mother
and father. Thanks

My gggGrandfather was Hezekiah Luckett of
Washington, Marion, and probably Nelson CO.
KY. The Luckett's were part of the Catholic migration from Maryland to KY in 1787. Most likely he and Martin were somehow related as Hezekiah carried the Luckett name to KY. I have to look thru my records and see if the name Martin appears anywhere.

My Lucketts were the parents of my gg grandmother Harriet Luckett from that area.

I will try to get back to you asap.

Yes, the Lucketts that I am researching were Catholic as well, and they migrated from Frederick Co., Maryland. They are related to my Middleton family. John Luckett, son of Charity Middleton & William Luckett, had sons John Middleton Luckett b. 1782 in Montgomery, Maryland d. 14 Dec. 1805 in Louisville, Jefferson Co., Kentucky, and Samuel Noland Luckett b. abt 1776 in Montgomery, Maryland m. 1803 in Jefferson Kentucky to Patience Dorsey.

I have a few Luckett's from Hardin/Meade Counties KY.... I lost them ealy on.. They were Catholic and appeared in the St Patrick Church records.. Cynthia Ann Friend (Joshua and Rhoda Firend) and James T. Luckett (Ignatius Thomas and Julet A. Carico).

My husbands grandmother was a Luckett, she was the daughter of William Luckett and Effie Walker. Her name was Beryl Mae Luckett. Is your Earl, the Earl Clyde that is her brother? Is so, I'd love to communicate! Hope to hear from you soon, you can email me at
