William Nelson Sanders and Jane are borther and sister. They had another brother, Evermond J. Sanders who is my 2nd great grandfather. William died in the Civil War. Both he and Evermond were in the "Orphan Brigade," and fought for the Confederacy. Census records show that Evermond and his wife Julia (Wilkerson) raised William's son after the war. Their father was Nelson A. Sanders who came to Barren County from Goochland Co., VA around 1815. Nelson fought in the War of 1812.

David W Locke was my 3rd great grandfather on my mother's side. His daughter was Mary F Locke (My 2nd Great Grandmother) who married my 2nd Great grandfather named Fountain Carter often referred to as Jailer Carter of Glasgow, Ky.

I have some more information if that sounds right to you.
