I would suggest it could be a surname which someone has decided to use as a first name. One branch of a family I am associated with has men called Cockshutt, Harpur and Bache. If you take a good look they are all surnames which married into the family - with Harpur definitely being the name of a place as well. A closer male relative had the second name Beverley - because the family originally came from Beverley in Yorkshire. A name of some importance to the family, possibly to no one else. Just a suggestion.
