Maybe the site will help you find information on the NICHOLAS Sr. you are searching.
You also may want to contact the site for information on his(their) Immigration standings.

Just a couple of suggestions.

I am trying to find out about a Nicholas Juhasz who immigrated to the US in the early 1900's (approx 1912). I do not know his wife's name but they had four children, two of which were Nicholas Juhasz(1903-1945) and Mary (1910-1960). Nicholas Jr served in the US Navy from OCT 1921 through OCT 1927. UPDATE TO my original post in this thread.

Nicholas Sr (b. Mar 24, 1875 in Tisza-Eszlar Hungary, d. Sep 8, 1944) was married to Barbara Buska Juhasz (b.Jun 18, 1878 died Jun 18, 1919) and they lived in Buffalo/Tonawanda NY (1910 Buffalo census). Her parents were George and Anna (nee: Szuhar) Buska. She died in Buffalo City Hospital on Grider Street.

Nicholas Sr later married a woman named Julia and had a step-daughter named Margaret (1930 Buffalo census). Julia left him in 1932 and went to Ohio. Divorce was official in 1942. He died in Pleasantville, NJ.

They had 4 children: Julius, Nicholas Jr, William, and Mary Marie.

Nicholas Sr, Barbara and Julius immigrated in 1903 (between Jan and July) aboard the vessel CASSEL, departing from BREMEN. I do not know which port they disembarked at.

Julius Born abt 1899/1900. He left home in 1918, and no one ever heard from him after he left. He may have changed his name to Julius Schaffer and moved to Ohio and then Oregon.

Nicholas Jr (Jul 21, 1903 to Apr 27, 1967). He was in the Navy from Oct 1921 though Oct 1927. After that he moved to Santa Barbara, CA where he worked at a college as part of the maintenance crew. He went by the names Nicholas Schaffer and Ray Harris. I actually found two separate Social Security Death Index entries, but they had the same birth and death dates and SSNs. He died in CA. Never married as far as I know.

William (about 1905 to May 1973 or 1981) He married Cecilia Cavanaugh and lived in Buffalo all of his life. They had no children. He changed his name to William Schaffer.

Mary Marie (Sep 12, 1910 to Mar 18, 1961). Married Homer Frolick in 1929 in Erie, PA and they lived in Buffalo, NY. They had one child Mary Pat Frolick b. Feb 1946 (my mother).
In 1953 Homer and Mary divorced. She took their daughter and moved to CA to live with Nicholas/Ray in Santa Barbara. They lived there until Mary Marie died in 1961. My mother Mary Pat moved back to NY later that year.

I am trying to find any information on the following:

1. Nicolas Sr's parents
2. Did Nicolas Sr have siblings
3. What happend to Julius (not sure the OH and OR info are correct).
4. Why Barbara died so young
5. Any general info on all of the family members
