My mother's maiden name is Mabee, she told me when I was younger that we were part Oglala Sioux. My grandfather, Ralph Mabee's familiy was originally French Canadian. I am trying to find how many generations back the Indian is. My mother didn't pay attention to such details. Please E-mail me if you have any information.

In my Mabee file, I have a Ralph D Mabee born in Canada, no spouse or children listed. Is this your grandfather? If so, then I have his ancestors. I do not know if any of the spouses were native american or not.

My Garndfather was Ralph Maitland Mabee. He was born in Mcminneville, OR 28, Feb, 1918. I've been told by my mother that it is common proactice in the family that the first born male is usualy named Ralph. He most certainly could be a relative, possible direct line if he his birthyear if far enough before my grandfather's.

I do not have Ralph D Mabee's birth date, but his father was Charles Thomas Mabee born Oct 2 1871. Charles died in May 14, 1913. His wife's name was Hope D Dysart. No dates known. Charles father was John Mabie born May 2 1825 in St John, New Brunswick, Canada and died Oct 20 1880 in Markhamville, Canada. Charles had 7 siblings. Charles mother was Margaret Kierstad. I can send you a gedcom of this family if you email me directly. Happy hunting.

I am searching for any information in regards to the descendants of Allan P. Maybee who is listed as a resident of St. John, New Brunswick, Canada and was born same. He was a bachelor and a longshoreman in 1908. He was the son of Willam and Jennie Mabee. He married Bessie May Allen, residence, St. John, NB, birthplace, Fredericton, NB, daughter of John H. and Eliza (Elizabeth) May (Banks) Allen. Allan and Bessie were married on April 28, 1908 in St. John, NB. Bessie had the following siblings: Nora Allen, Harold Allen, Mark Allen, Etta Allen, Freda Allan, Edmund Allen and Gertrude Helena Allen who married Leander Sabien in St. John, NB. Bessie May's mother was my ggrandfather's sister. I have the family last located in St. John, NB but cannot locate where they were after 1908. Any help on this family would be greatly appreciated.

Hi, I went back to my mabee file. the only Kierstad that I have is a Margaret Kierstad who married a John Mabie (may 2 1825- Oct 20-1880) He was born in St. John New Brunswick Canada and died in Markhamville, Canada. They had several children. Perhaps this will be a clue.

I am a truck driver and have found this occurrance in the ne us quite a bit due to the french/canada/indian/mix and also the espionage thing during the wars-our roots have been traced back to mabielle in france and to ghengis khan and mongolian heritage-there are also several different spellings and other different names derived from mabielle-if it looks like it could be it probably is. check seneca,ny and oleanta,ny and surrounding area
