Trying to find the origin of Deague we think it could be the border of Belgium France. It is listed in the IGI under Dagge. Can anyone help? regards Sandra.

I believe the name originates in France and church records exist in England. We have recently tracked the deagues that left England and came to Australia in 19th century.

hello, my mother's maiden name is DEAGUE and i have been tracing the family of Henry Deague b.abt1829 gloucestershire and Sarah Ellen Blunden. This family came to australia in 1858. Does our research tie in together? Can we help each other? Tracey

This section of the Deague family came from Frampton on the Severn. As far back as I could find, Charlotte Deague had a son called William Deague baptized 1805 at the age of 4. William had son called Henry. These are the people that sailed out Australia in 1858 and later his parents came out. I found the Deague families in Liverpool in the census 1851..
