Looking for information on gr-grandparents J. L. SUND and Leopoldina Christine Henrietta LAURSEN SUND. Mrs Sund came from Denmark in 1869 with her parents, married J.L. in 1880 and settled in Polk Co. May have had homes in Luck, Milltown, and Half Moon Bay. They had 10 children, the eldest, Martin, was my grandfather. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks much!

In my ancestry file I have a Jens Larsen Sund, married to Christina Laursen. His father is listed as Lars Christian Larsen Sund, m. to Ingar Jensen. They had 3 sons.

Please contact me if you think they are one in the same. I have much information on the Laursen/Pedersen side, but would like more information to add on the Sund side.

I am looking for a woman with the possible maiden name of Skou who lived/worked in or near Sacramento, CA around the year 1970. She would have been around 36 or 38 years of age. She possibly was divorced, had two female children.
Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you....:)

It is a cold day here in Wisconsin. I guess Winter has decided to return. I thought I'd start my day in pursuit of my latest genealogy hobby. I am searching for relatives on all sides of my lineage. The Laursen connection happens to be my Grandmother. She came from Silkeborg, Denmark to the U.S. and married my Grandfather Frank Paur. They resided in Racine most of their years. My Grandmother was unfortunately confined to bed for almost 10 yrs. in a nursing home. She spent most of that time knitting for orphans.

My Father, Roy is deceased and my Mother, Anne just recently passed away. My Aunt Evie lived past 90, and Elsa is still showing her prowess in her late 90's.

If you think there is a chance that we have a connection, I would appreciate hearing from you. Grandma's parents were Nielsen Laursen & Johanna Christensen(sp?).

I know this is an old post, but Inger was a sister of my gg grandfather. I have information on both the Sund and Jensen families if you're still interested.

Hi jhumes,

Just got back into Geneology recently after a couple year lapse. I believe we have a relationship. My great grandfather was Louis C Sund of Milltown, WI. He had a brother, J.L Sund and father Lars Christian Sund married to Ingar. I would like to compare info if you are still interested.

Hi Pam,

I believe that Inger was married to Lars Christian Sund and had 3 sons. J.L, Louis (sp) and I believe Lars jr. If this makes sense to you I would like to compare notes.

Hi Tracey,

I've found 8 children born to Lars Christian and Inger...4 boys and 4 girls. One boy died in Denmark when he was 12 days old. I don't have a record of Louis. Do you have a birth date for him? I know Inger was in her 40's when they arrived in the US from Denmark so I'm assuming Louis was born prior to their emigration and I'd like to look for his records. He may be one of the children I already have, just with an anglicized name. I'll be happy to share whatever information I have with you.
