Hi Paul,

I am sorry my COOKES are 1830s.
I have John COOKE son of Robert COOKE married Amnn LINFORD Aug 1837, their daughter Isobella married William WROE 1863.
If you get back further we can look for a connection. I have searched the parish records for Eccles area and have many COOKES recorded but this in in the 1800 to 1837 period.

Regards

My grandmother ANNIE GROOCOCK was born Dec.30,1890. She married Cyril Wilfred SKIRROW July 26 1914 in the Parish Church of Urmston. Witnesses at the wedding were Charles Edwin DICKINSON and Lucy Evelyn Groocock. She lived at 2 Lime (?) Grove and he was from Brookside, Leicester.
Annie's parents were William and Lily(Simpson)Groocock.I have no information as to their wedding date, place of birth or ages. At the time of Annie's birth they were living at 30 Rose Street, Urmston.
Does any one have any further information on the GROOCOCK or SIMPSON side of my Skirrow family?
