I believe that my family is related to Conrad Seipp. We have old time pictures from 1860 to 1900 taken in Chicago, Ill. I think that he may have been a brewer. There was a bottle of wine that was passed down from generations to my uncle. If anyone has any information on his wife I think we might be related on her side. I also think that they lived on Lake Geneva. Any help would be great.

I am specifically looking for the ones who were here from 1850-1900. We have pictures of Emma, Conrad and Louisa from a photography studio in Chicago. I am really trying to find out what his wife's maiden name was because I think we are realted to her side.

possibly---in our family it is said that Annie Seipp was a niece od Conrad seipp the brewer in chicago. She came to my great grandparents wedding and presented katherine rietz kramer a bottle of whiskey brewed before 1850 with the Seipp logo on it. She was a cousin to Katherine Rietz Kramer so their parents must have been born with the last name of Rietz from Luxembourg. This bottle has been passed down in my family.

Carrie,
I hope that you are still checking this board. I am a docent at the Black Point Historic Preserve in Lake Geneva, WI at the summer home(1888) of Conrad Seipp, the Chicago brewer. If you Google the home you will see a fantastic time capsule. His first wife was Mary and 2nd was Catherina. Their children were Emma, Clara, Conrad, Elsa, and Alma. The patriarch's great-grandson, William Peterson, donated the home to the state of Wisconsin.

Back in 1967 and 1968, I used to drive Ernest Schmidt around in his Checker Cab. He was the brother of a Mrs.Bartholemew. He lived in the farmhouse on the corner by the main gate.
