I am researching my maternal grandfather who died when my mother was an infant. I have very little information, but that he was born in County Down, Ireland about 1881. His mother's maiden name was Morgan. I have an uncle and cousin who are Jr. and III respectively who live in Pennsylvania. Would appreciate any information you may have. Thank you.

John Morgan McGaw had a brother named Sam that lived around the city of Pittsburgh. Sam was in the produce business. He must have made some money, he had a chauffeur.
I believe that the cousin in Pennsylvania that you are speaking of is my dad. If you would like to email my dad, you can email me at Carla1@catsrule.garfield.com and I will give you his email address.

I was curious about your McGaws in Pittsburgh. My mother, Margaret McGaw was born in Pittsburgh in 1920. Her father's name was John Charles McGaw, born in 1895 in Baltimore, but the family moved to Pittsburgh where he married Margaret Prion. he apparently worked for Heinz, but left the family when the depression hit and then his wife died from a ruptured appexdix when my mother was 12. My mother had 2 brothers, I only remember the name Jack and a sister Dorothy.

Could my McGaw family be related to yours? I am sadly lacking in information before my grandfather's birth.
