I have been up against this same enigma. I understand it to possibly mean the parish of St Andrew. Go onto the www.genuki.org site and sheck out the details for Norfolk. Claire

I believe Weeds Square was at the bottom of Gas Hill, near Bishops Bridge it was built in 1820.this is all I can find about it's location,I am a Weeds,my father and his family have been in Thorpe since approximately 1760,I was born in Thorpe but had never heard or knew anything about Weeds Square until to-day,so this a total Surprise to me.

I too was wondering where Weed's Square was when I came across it while transcribing Thorpe Hamlet parish records. According to White's Norfolk, Weed's Square was off Gas Hill. The map of Norwich actually shows a turning off Gas Hill which is a dead end and appears to be unnamed. Maybe that is where Weed's Square used to be.
