Shannon, somehow I only caught the last half of a reply on your post. I have info on Jessy. My grandfather was Samuel Albert - Jessies' brother. The family of Sam and Angeline consisted of:
Walter A. Barrow b. 23 Aug 1894
Minnie Ellen Barrow b. 23 Dec 1896
Elizabeth Barrow b.12 Jun 1899
Samuel Albert Barrow b. 21 Sep 1900
Willima F. Barrow b. 5 Feb 1903
Charles Lee Barrow b. 12 Jan 1906
George Allen Barrow b. 21 Mar 1909
Jessy Aubrey Barrow b.13 Feb 1914

I have the copy of Jessy's obituary in my files. It shows that he had two children, Samuel C. and Jesselyn Tomlinson. The Barrow clan was not a very close group and the brothers often relished in telling fantastic stories - so it is not easy to track this particular line. Some records show that John was the father of Sam b.15 May 1863. If you have any other information, I would greatly appreciate the corespondence.

The information that you have has come from my mother (Jean Barrow) who passed it onto my aunt Louise (your mother). Louise knew that the marriage between Sam and Angeline took place in the home of his father "John". I may have heard that Louise also had posession of a family bible, but I am not sure of this. I am currently researching this line and have come only this far:

Sam Allen Barrow b. 15 May 1863 Bowling Green, Kentucky
md. 7 Nov 1893
Angeline Plant (b.10 Dec 1874)
d. 6 Sep 1943 San Angelo, Texas
Walter A. Barrow
b. 23 Aug 1894, d. 3 Jun 1896
Minnie Ellen Barrow
b. 23 Dec 1896, d. 28 Sep 1976
Elizabeth Barrow
b.12 Jun 1899, d. 12 Jun 1899
* Samuel Albert Barrow
b. 21 Sep 1900, d. 31 Oct 1963
William F. Barrow b. 5 Feb 1903
Charles Lee Barrow b. 12 Jan 1906
George Allen Barrow b.21 Mar 1909
Jessy Aubrey Barrow
b. 13 Feb 1914, d. 4 Feb 1982

Correspondence has revealed that Sam Allen Barrow was married in the home of his father "John" who was possibly married to Elizabeth Lee. Census research has indicated that Sam Allen b.1863 and John and Elizabeth were in the 1900 Texas census as two different families. The 1860 census of Kentucky reveals that John and Elizabeth were there with 2 small children - although Sam Allen would not have showed up.

There should be some recourses that you could look into as you are in Texas (I believe). Have you looked into the census files? Could you contact some court houses in the area for records? You may be able to request information from pertinent districts, have you done so yet?

Any information that you could share would be appreciated.

I have been in touch with your mother. It was she who sent me this information. I have been unable to take it further. Aunt Ruby sent me quite a bit of information on the Plant line. Please visit my site at

I have little time to do a lot of research at the moment, but I will post any information I find. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
