I am trying to locate any information on Pascal Arseneau who married Mary Ann Doucet in Canada, possibly Nova Scotia, they immigrated to Maine, I think Brooks, they are the parents of Joseph Peter Arseneau who was born in 1872 and died 1941. He married Mary Catherine Melanson, she was born in 1881 and died 1949. I have been able to trace the roots forward, but cannot locate anything on Pascal or Mary Ann. Any help you might have would be greatly appreciated. Also I have many many entries on the Arsenault family, if anyone is interested.

Is it this one ? - Pascal ARSENEAU - m1.1860 Mary DOUCET - m2.1882 Mary Patricia CORMIER

It matches, Pascal married Mary Ann Doucet who had Joseph Peter Arseneau who married Mary CCatherine Melanson. Joseph was born 1872-1941, and Mary Catherine was born 1881-1949. I have the lines after them but not any other information on what you have. I can't believe you have this. How did you find it and are you any relation to them?

I forgot to mention that the dates I gave you are by the best estimate that my family could remember. I notice that my birthdate for Mary is 1881, but like I said this was a best guess on our part.

It is from the "Dictionnaire Généalogique des familles Arsenault"

YES, I am interested in any Arseneau Family. I own "THE DICTOINNAIRE GENEALOGIQUE DES FAMILLES ARSENAULT" I bought it because I did not know anything about my Grandmother's ( Margaret Mary Arseneau ) Family. It is a very interesting book-It gave me a lot of information, and did more for my Family Tree than anything else. However, it is just a book, the only thing you can be sure of, is if you have a certified copy of a vital record. I would like to keep it going, adding more ( Your ) information. If you E-Mail me I can send you the rest of your ancestors.

Goodness gracious, I don't *believe* I stumbled across this.

OK, Pascal Arseneau, son of Pierre Arseneau and Rose Hache, is my great-grandfather. Here's the story as I know it. Yes, he was married to Mary Doucet, in Bathurst, New Brunswick, but Mary passed away, in 1881. Soooo, he took in a teenage orphan girl to look after the kids, named Marie Patrionelle (later changed to Mary Patricia). *Married* her when she was 19, and he was 59. Had a bunch more kids!!! The youngest, John, was born when Pascal was 67. And John is my grandfather.

that's the quick version, we'll have to communicate more to exchange more.

As I said, I cannot believe my good fortune to come across this post. All of us from the "second" family have been vaguely aware of the first family, but other than some contact years ago with Peter, we have had no information whatsoever on that first family.

I'm going to e-mail this to you guys separately as well.

Take care!

I require information for Arsenault (from about 1890-1919)
from the line of Louis Pierre Arceneaux 1650 who married Marguerite Dugas. Then he married Marie Guerin.
Any insights,
Anne-Marie
