A pedigree chart with a couple of added great aunts and/or uncles

Is there a genealogy software program that will allow one to create a typical pedigree chart plus allow one to add a couple of side branches to add a great uncle or great aunt or other side branch ancestor?

Thx in advance.

Since aunts and uncles don't belong in a pedigree chart to begin with, I doubt any software produces such a chart.

How would you show that on paper anyway?

as a side branch off of one of the main ancestors -- If no software exists whats the best tool or tools to manually develop a pedigree chart with a couple of side branches?

Visio, Powerpoint, SmartDraw, OmniGraffle(for Mac) other?

A rough draft could even be done in Paint or some other drawing program.

Using MS "paint" would be an absolute pain to try to align boxes etc

True- if starting from scratch. What I meant was take a screen shot of say a 3 generation pedigree (child, parents and grandparents) and then open it in paint and draw in where the siblings of the grandparents (aunts and uncles of parents) would be shown - then do the same with a 4 gen chart.

It has been suggested before, and so far no one has figured a way to do it unless each is done by hand.

Easy enough in TMG, and I suspect some others.
1 Make an Ancestor box chart
2 make a Decendats Box chart that picks up the relevant aunts/uncles. repat if there are others descended from different ancestors.
3 Copy and paste from chart 2 to chart 1
DONE
Well that's the way I do it.

Indeed - the best "box" drawing program I've see to date is Microsoft Visio - part of the Office 2010 suite. Easy to align boxes, draw connecting lines, copy and paste repetitive segments. The pedigree charts on the Griffi(th)(n)(s)(ng) DNA Surname Project website were drawn using Visio.

In Family Historian 5 one can combine different Ancestor Trees into one diagram and reposition each tree. Also add pictures and resize and reposition them.
