Pulaski County Probate Records

FamilySearch has many of these on microfilm and digitized, but there's a volume (vol. I) of Appraisements and Sales that was not microfilmed, covering about 1852-1858. Looking at what is at the state archives, it looks like they have the same 4 microfilms as FamilySearch, though I've sent a request to archives staff to be sure. I spoke with the Pulaski County Probate Judge who says he does not know where these old records are, that they were moved when the courthouse was renovated and the county supposedly has them safely stored somewhere, he just doesn't know where. Does anyone have any additional information on this?

Many records were destroyed in a fire in the courthouse years ago. Although many records were preserved many were destroyed and therefore you may not be able to find them. Also, not all records have been digitalized. My cousin and I often drive to the court house to physically go through the records and look for family information and have found it difficult because so many records were lost.
