My husband is a descendant of Adam & Lydia Loving. I would also like to get information on their descendants. The Loving's must not have lived in Shelby, Co for long. I would like to share information with you.

You commented that the LOVING family probably did not stay long in Shelby County. Actually, there is still very much a LOVING descendant presence.

The largest furniture and appliance dealer in Shelby County is Sammy Dean DANCE, son of Carlton Thomas DANCE who was the son of Anna Letie LOVING, who was the daughter of George W. LOVING, who was the son of Manuel Walton LOVING, who was the son of Manuel William LOVING, who was the son of Adam LOVING.

The best-known announcer on KDET Radio in Center (Shelby County seat) is known as "Jack Mack." He is Jack Everett McLENDON, son of Melissa Burton LOVING, who was the daughter of George W. LOVING, who was the son of Manuel Walton LOVING, who was the son of Manuel William LOVING, who was the son of Adam LOVING.

There are other LOVING descendants in Shelby County as well.

Best wishes to you!

DANCE, George W. and LOVING, Anna Letie Ella

Apparently George W. Dance divorced Lettie Loving Dance (went to Portland, Oregon) and she remarried Charles A. Dance and is buried near him New Burn Cemetery...her dau. Mary Blanche Dance Bridges may have married a Bridges.

George W. Dance was half-brother to Wade Wiggins, whose mother was Mary Dunn Wiggins, believe she appears with first husband on 1870 Census, Shelby Co. Texas with husband W. H. Wiggins, and earlier children, Lee H. Wiggins, John M. Wiggins, William E. Wiggins...don't know which Dance she remarried and had George W. by....

There was a W. H. Dunn on 1837 Tax record of Shelby Co. Texas who may have been Mary Dunn Wiggins father?
