Surnames: Quinn-Moore-Agnew-Pollard-Smith-Brennan-McGregor-Gilchrist
I am seeking any information on any Quinn families from Co Down & Co Armagh that may have had links to Belfast.
My Quinns started off in Belfast abt.1800-40's as Shoemakers but seeking confirmation on where they came from.

Names and dates include:-

Margaret Moore (nee Agnew) or other way round - widow with children
wed abt.1860's Belfast
Robert Quinn abt.1800 born? (May have been Castlewellan)
May have had a brother named Hugh.
Roberts first wife died leaving 2 children
Sarah? Quinn abt.1843
Alexander Quinn abt.1840
Catherine McIlvenny
9 sons born in Belfast
Robert 1864-65 Little York St
Robert James 1866
Alexander 1868
Daniel 1871
Patrick 1873-76
John 1876 wed Margaret Pollard
Patrick 1879
Frank 1882-1962
All Quinns known to be RC and lived around the Docks, Sailorstown.
Some names maybe mixed up between Robert and Margarets children but they were William, Elizabeth & Margaret.

Other names married into the line are McGregor, Gilchrist, Brennans (Belfast org.Kilkenny), Monaghans (Belfast org. Co Monaghan?), Duff, Leckey, Smith and others.

I have more information if needed.

my paternal grandma, reported to be a Quinn, and my grand-dad, a McMahon are supposed to have come from Belfast and Dublin, dont know which was from which. My Granddad was a McMahon, maybe Denis or Michael, grandma may have been Mary, and may have also been married to a Jordan at some time. Does this tally up with any names you have?
