Searching for Julia Evans

Surnames: Evans, Brrown, Hudson
I'm searching for my great grandmother, Julia Evans Hudson.

After her mother died, Julia was adoted by Absalom and Sarah Brown, neighbors. (It is told that as a child, she found her mother dead in bed. I do not know anything about her father.) On 3 April 1866 she married my great grandfather, James Daniel Hudson (1838-1924.)

I'd like to learn more about Julia Evans Hudson.

Dear Mr. Stillman,
Thank you so very much for your help with Julia Evans Hudson's birth and death dates; also thanks for the picture of her and Daniel Hudson's tombstone in the Hudson Family Cemetery.

One question: I have assumed that the Hudson Family Cemetery was on the grounds of the old John William and Lulu Burton Hudson home. Their house was in Southwest, approximately 10 miles from Jacksonville. White-shuttered, it had a big broad front porch and extended in back off a long porch. Is this the Hudson Family Cemetery you mention?

Again, I am entirely grateful for your assistane.

Jessee KING, guardian to minor heirs of JAMES EVANS, deceased, 1837; namely, Mary Wantlan and Edward Evans. [this is transcribed incorrectly. the minor heirs are: Mary, Watson, and Edward]

Sally Evans married Jessee King 17 Feb 1830. He lived near her grandfather, John Evans, who was 60-70 , 1830 Census. When she married Jessee King her little sister, Mary Elizabeth Evans, also came to live with them as proven by the second female enumerated in the house of Jessee Evans in 1830. 2 Females 10-15 years old.

Sally Evans King died after 1842 the year of the last know child born to she and Jessee. and before the 1850 census. could Sarah have died in childbirth with the birth of John, her last child?
Mary was still living with Jessee and Sally at the time of Sally's death and Mary naturally would have stayed to help care for her neices and nephew.
Mary's children were born 1846,1849, 1855, Julia A. M. Evans, and John Evans and Nan Evans. Jesse King was taking care of Mary and her children until Mary died.

Family Folk Lore said that Julia was 3 years old when her mother died [@ 1858-59]. This is not possible. It is possible that her sister, Nan, was 3 years old when their mother died.[ Nan was born 1855/56.]
That makes Julia 11 or 12 years old and John 8 or 9 Years old when their mother, Mary EVANS, died.
Jessee King had his own children to rear so he found homes for Mary's illegitimate children.

Absolom Brown was already married{ in1856} when Julia came to live with him about 1858/59.
John Brown was not married when Nan came to live with him. so the story of the little girl climbing into a lap has to be Nan and not our Julia.
I don't know where John EVANS went. Possible he went with either of these gentlmen. Family tales tell us John Evans died young and is buried near Wilmington. Absolom Brown and John Brown are brothers.

the question still remains: WHO is the daddy?
Family folk lore has it that he is an Indian.
Do all of them have the same dad?
