Hy Carole
Do you know what is the relationship between the surnames above?
I think Raglan is directly related to Raglan (Castle) and locations near it.
What about Ragland?
From where it comes?

there is a book "The Raglands: History of a British-American Family" avail from Univ of Fl bookstore, phone 813-974-5026. Costs about 50.00 but is a thorough search of Raglands from the Raglan Castle in Wales. If you have not already found the web site : FamilyTreeMaker.com - link to user home pages, there is an extensive history of Roots /Branches of the Evan Ragland Famiy Tree. Evan is the one who came to VA and married Susanna Pettus, thus starting the Raglands in the US. Hope this will help some. Apparently the Ragland/Raglan spellings were interchangeable at one time.
