I am researching my Saum(s) line in Luzerne and Northampton Co., PA

Johannes Saum - came from Germany (Prussia?) on the Neptune arriving in Philadelphia Sep 24, l751. He probably settled and died in Northumberland Co., PA. Johannes seems to be the father of Christian. There is speculation, but no documentation that Johannes was related to Nicholas, Adams, Frederick and Andreas Saum who were also in New England at that time.

Laura, I have pretty much the same info, mostly the name Christian Saum and I believe another brother from Germany, my family did some research but most has been misplaced when some died, anyway our family settled in Indiana--the Mormon Church-The Latter Day Saints of Oregon is were we had recieved most of out information. From what I remember they had settled in Shenedoah Co. or something similar--can not remember the state. Would love more info, will send more as I come across it. Amanda Saum Price
