Carl Frederick Mensing was born in Manhattan, Riley, Kansas November 21, 1875. He married Clara Helms October 12, 1900 in North Carolina. Interesting- the North Carolina marriage license required 3 witness signatures. There were two local people, then the third was "king Cole" of London, England - wonder if the theatrical Carl was caught short with obtaining a third witness?
1910 Census shows Carl and Goldie in Leavenworth, Kansas, no children yet
1930 census, in Tarpon Springs, Florida with children John and Mary
1940 In Miami Florida, with Goldie and children. At Ancestry, there is also a Florida divorce entry for Carl and Goldie in 1938.

Mr. and Mrs. J.F. Mensing, and family, went to Lawrence, Monday, via Burlingame and the Santa Fe, and from there Mr. Mensing went to Leavenworth to arrange for their son Carl to attend Mount St. Mary's academy.
The social security death index has Carl's parents as John Mensing and Clara Pfalmer. In the 1880 Manhattan Kansas census, Clara's Mother, Minnie Falmer is residing with them.
There was an article that the family of J.F. Mensing had arrived in Roseland, New Jersey, on May 20, 1890, and they planned to reside there while Mr. Mensing was on a trip to Germany.
There was mention of a G.H. Kremelberg, or Kansas City visiting, stating he was a cousin of J.F. Mensing.
