Back in 1999 you asked for information re: Roderick Sweet. I just stumbled on your post. George Sweet born in NS in 1848 and Eunice Workman had a son named Roderick who migrated from NS to AB in the early 1900's and lived for awhile in McLeod AB. While there he had a son Roderick and the family moved to New Westminister BC around 1920. There was Clyde, Roderick, Orville, Donald and a daughter Catherine

In the 1901 Census, Georges last name is listed as Scott and the page break occurs with the children then listed as Swet.

George, Frank, Julia, Ralph, Emma, Roderick, Wesley are listed under Swet name
George F. and Eunice are listed as last name Scott

Not at home at that time were:
Son Ebenezer married Lizzie Philips 1870 - 1902
Daughter Adelaide married Charles F. Brunt 1872 - 1923
Daughter Janie Agnes married Henry A. Weatherby 1875 - 1958
Daughter Clara married Arthur Scheer 1884 - ? (living in McLeod AB in 1906 census)

I also have a Mary Elizabeth 1869 - 1899 but I can't confirm where I found that.
I also have a John Sweet b.1874 no confirmation

I have more under Georges' son Roderick Sweet if you'd like it.

Thank you for the reply,

I have most of the family information locally in B.C. except for Roderick Murray Sweet's daughter Catherine.
The one mentioned for New Westminster would be too old as George and eunice did not marry until Sept 1911. My father is Roderick Charles and he was born 1918, there would have been a 28 year spread. I believe that I checked this years ago but will research it further.

I am hoping that someone will see this comment, as this is an old post. I am the granddaughter of Catherine Sweet (Clark). I would love to get into contact with anyone, as I have very little information about my family on my fathers side. Just finding this information has made my day. I never knew I had so much family out there.
