I am becoming confused - there are several Mansfields and several John Ash's. I have a John in my family. John F. Ash came to Kansas in 1975, married Martha Ingold. He is my great, great grandfather. He Martha had 7 children. I don't know where he came from or his birth date.

Sorry, I made a mistake, John Ash came to Kansas in 1875 (instead of 1975)!!

I have an uncle John Ash who came to KS around that time but his middle name was Harrison. He married Mary Jane Tingle. He had a brother named James Ash who homesteaded in Sedgwick County, KS.

Alicia - I don't think we are related to the Ash's in Sedgwick Co., KS - at least not close, but will do some more checking.

Samuel Ash was born in England between 1780-1790. He applied for citizenship in Hardin Co., Ky. in 1818 and became a U.S. citizen in 1825. I descend from his first wife who name is unknown by their son Thomas who married Rebecca Stader in 1840.

I am looking for details on Rosa Ash of Hardin, KY married to Thomas S. Woodringon 12-15-1874.

I have dates for Thomas but only a death after 1901 for Rosa
Could you help me with this?
If you are related I would love any decendants.
Thanks

Rosa Ash Woodring died July 17, 1909 and is buried at Glendale Christian Church Cemetery. I descend from her sister, Sarah Margaret Ash who married John Allen in 1866.
