My mother was born in Mass. Was raised by her grandparents. Her grand parents are buried in Rome Italy. Her father was Mariano Berardi. I too am looking for Berardi family. I know my grandfather owned a villa in LaAguila. He is also buried in Rome, Italy. My mother was an only child. We know nothing of her mother. My mother sold the villa to an Uncle. One name was Amellio. She had a cousin she mention Falist.[ Please excuse my name spelling] Maybe this Isn't enough info but I would appreicate any reply Thanks Lorrie

Hello, saw your post in reply to Carol Berardi, who is my second cousin-Olivero Berardi was my grandfather. I too, am writing a book about Anfrosina and how she touched my life. I am travelling to Italy May 13-28 2005 and am interested in hooking up with any of my relatives in San Marco and L'Aquila. How are we related? I will also visit the Chapel San Marco Evangelista and her home. I have emailed the priest now in charge of her beautification-Don Bruno Tarantino. Please respond to this post as I would love to talk with you about your past trips to Italy and any contacts you may have to share. Gracie, and warm regards, Linda

Hello. This is Pegi who posted the message for my Mother and Aunt, cousins to Anfrosina. I printed out your response and gave it to them.
My aunt now has a computer and said she was going to contact you about family info and your trip. She and my Mom have been to Italy a number of times. Good luck with your book and your quest. FYI: Their maiden name is Fioraanti; they visited the Berardi's of New York.

Hi Pegi, it has been some time since we communicated. I have made my voyage to Italy and actually conversed with your "Aunt" I think. Would her name be clare? at unwiind3217@aol.com? I tried to follow up with her several times via email. Her son Lawrence was quite ill with a brain tumor. do you know about her whereabouts? I have started my book and information that she may have would be vital to me as one of the few close relatives that remain from the Berardi clan. thanks so much for any help you can provide. thanks, Linda

Dear Linda,
I was surprised and delighted to hear from you again. Yes, Aunt Clare herself and her son have been going through a health crisis. Aunt Clare is better but Lawrence is failing. If she has not contacted you, it is because of this. I printed out your message and will have my Mom give it to her. At least, she will have the paper as a reminder when and if she should reply. Perhaps getting her mind off her troubles will be a welcome change but, I cannot promise she will reply. Her desire to hear about your trip may prompt her to contact you.
I hope your trip was wonderful and your book a joy to write.
I must tell you about a dream I had involving Anfrosina. She answered my prayers in the form of a vision. If you are interested in it, let me know. After 16 years of suffering from guilt, she brought peace to my life through this vision. I consider this her personal miracle to me.
Peace and Prayers to you and yours,
Pegi
