Am looking for info in a Rollie or Raleigh Wininger, birth date May 3, 1899 died October 15. 1955. His wife first name was Ruby this would have been a first marriage. I beleive he had a twin sister named Roxie. Father and mother were Nelson and Sarah. Nelson born October 13, 1864, died May 10, 1952, Sarah born August 1, 1866 died may 10, 1905. Raleigh had two children by Ruby Raleigh jr. and Ruby Ellen.
I am searching for family before Nelson, possibly with American Indian heritage.

Searching for ancestry of William Pierce Wininger, born in Paoli, IN in approximately 1870. Father's name was Isaac, mother's name was Anna. Supposedly there is a connection with a Cherokee chief. Would like to know indian info., plus the lineage of the Winingers: when they came from Germany; where in Germany? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'm also looking for information on the Winingers of Indiana. My husbands grandmother was Madeline Wininger, b. 1912, d. 1981. I'm not sure who her parents were. She is buried and lived in Dubois County, Indiana. From pictures she is very dark complected, high cheekboned, unsure of Indian descent, but I've heard some family speak of it. Please let me know if this name rings a bell.
Thanks in advance,
Stacie G.

Classification: Query
I am searching for the family of a William P.Winenger. W.P. was in the 11th Texas calvary Co. B in the Civil War, serving under Gen Jos. Wheeler. After the war he resided in Cook County, TX at least thru the 1880 census. Is showing living in Indian Territory Ok (Chickasaw Nation IT) in 1900 census. I am desperatly searching for my greatgrandmothers adoptive family. W.P. was her adoptive uncle. Her adoptive father was a Dr. Wilson. My GGM, Ella Wilson, was said to have Cherokee blood..we think her father was Cherokee and her mother never married him, but married Dr. Wilson, then died. Dr. Wilson raised her. I think the Wilsons may have moved to MS in the 1880's. Right now, though, I am just trying to find the uncle...can you help? please email me at Thanks a lot. Andy Brandon, Marietta, GA.
