I am looking for information on the Genealogy of Mary Catherine Corn's family. She is the daughter of Samuel Corn and Anna Anderson. I have her obituarie and it says that she was born in Washington county Kentucky on March 20, 1863. She married a Jacob simpson in Kentucky oi 1882. I would like info on the Corn family before her ( her ancestors). Would also like to correspond with others who are related. Thank you. Rodney J. erps

I found a lady on the internet and called her about Samuel Corn and Mary Ann Anderson Corn and she said they had no children. Evidently her info was wrong. I thought it must have been a different Samuel and Anderson. I would be interested in the info you have. They would have been my great great grandparents. If its the same family, they had 13 childrenI have some picture of some of the Corn. Hope to hear from you soon. Take care. Rodney J. Erps

I'm sorry. I got that last info a little mixed up. My great grandma, Mary Catherine Corn Simpson had the 13 children not Samuel and Anna Anderson Corn.

You sure have helped. I wish it was as easy researching other branches of my family. I have found descendants of my other ancestors over the internet and have proof that I am decended from their forefathers but they never respond to my letters. I guess they think they have all the info. on the family and aren't interested. You have made my day. I think it is very interesting and know where to go now for more info. I hope that you will help me further in finding my Corn roots. I never knew that my great grandma Mary Catherine had so many brothers and sisters. From her obit. I only see that she had 1 brother living when she died and that was Samuel and 1 sister living Mrs. Belle Babb and 1 half sister Mrs. Ora Gibson. I downloaded a GEDCOM file a few months ago with alot of the info you have said but when it came to Samuel Jr. it had no children listed. I called the lady who submitted it and talked to her and she told me that I was looking for another Samuel Corn. I was kinda upset because I thought I found some info on my family history and then it went to pot. That just goes to show that a lot of times people do not look beyond their own line and leave out descendants of others. I hope that I am making sense. I am glad that I just haven't given up. I will write you with your email and my email address is rod1960@yahoo.com. Thank you and again you have made me happy. Rodney J. Erps

I am very interested in learning more about Samuel L Corn as I think he is the mother of my Great Grandmother Sarah Martha Corn born in Indiana in 1859 and she married Robert A Trafton in Texas. It has taken me quite a while to get this far so I hope I am on the right track.
Any information would be greatly appreciated.

I am just now getting in to this and hope a year gone by is not too much. Nelson Harris and Polly Corn are my GGG grandparents. You have done much to confirm and add to what I have dug up. You made a passing reference to Overton Harris m. Ruth. Do you have an age for him? I am trying to determine Nelson's parentage. There are so many Overton's that I can't make any sense of them.

Thanks,
Bill
