Hi Jeannette,

From the 1851 census index I see:

Bennet, Helen aged 34 b. Kinross, living in Kinross

seems to be living with:

Bennet, John aged aged 41 b. Portmoak
William aged 1 b.Kinross
Robert aged 11 b. Kinross
John aged 12 b. Kinross
James aged 6 b. Kinross
Isabella aged 9 b. Kinross
Helen aged 14 b. Kinross

There is also a John and Elisabeth living together:
John aged 82 b. Portmoak
Elisabeth aged 80 b. Leslie, Fife

There also could be a grand/son Alexander aged 37 there too.

Robert and Isabella Graham:

Graham, Robert aged 69 b. Orwell living in Kinross
Graham, Isabella aged 62 b. Kinross

From the same schedule there appears to be a son
John, aged 24 b.Kinross
James, aged 28 b. Kinross
Elisabeth, aged 38 b.Kinross

What were your Bennet's occupations?

I have Bennet who moved to Stirling. I think the family was originally involved in weaving but then became tailors.

Hello. Are you a descendant?

I'm a straight line down from the Robert Graham/Stark/Watson line and you seem to have the dates of Isabella's marriage to Robert Graham and that of Isabella's parents, both of which I'd been trying to find, in vain! Can you tell me how you managed to document this, please?

I have info about Helen and her (only?) four siblings. Please let me know if you're still looking, because I see your post was from 2000.

Isabella lived to the incredible age of 97. Quite unbelievable for those days.
