Is anyone familiar with the WARNOCK family who originated in Ireland and wound up living on Pender Island, British Columbia, Canada ? There was a Warnock Ranch in Bargain Harbour, B.C. which I believe is on Pender Island.

Sorry I don't know any of those Warnocks because all I know is my father was a Warnock (Norman Elmer Warnock). His sister-in-law lives in Vernon, B.C.And her children and grandchildren. I'm trying to find out more about my father because he passed away from leukemia when I was a year old and I never knew him or my grandparents and so on. I have met a few of my cousins and aunts and uncles, but I would like to know more about my heritage before my grandparents and so on. Thankyou so much for replying. Maybe my relatives in Vernon might know more about the Warnocks in B.C. and I also have some relatives in Nipawin, Sask also.
Thankyou again

Hi,
My ancestors also came from Ballymony, Co. Antrim. William 'Warnock born 1814, his wife Margret Lamont Warnock and their three children came to Boston, Massachusetts in June 1847. I wonder if there is a family link.

Hi Stephen ~ the family I am researching seemed to have come directly to BC from Ballymoney, Co. Antrim. All the children were born on Galiano Island, British Columbia. I have printed your note, however, in case I find a connection in the future. Thanks, Lynne

Thanks for the reply...sorry I took so long to reply back. If we have a connection you might even know more than I do. I never even knew my grandparents! My father (Norman Elmer Warnock) was married before he met my mom. They had 4 children I know them, most of them are here in Alberta. I do have one half-sister in Vernon tho and my aunt is there and my first cousins. Do you have some relatives in Vernon? All I know is that I think my relatives originated in BC. I was also born in Vernon. My father was brought back and buried in Nipawin, Sask. I would love to see the pictures also. Thankyou again for replying and I hope to hear back from you again.

Hello all you Warnocks of BC

I also have Warnock connections living in British Columbia.Robert Warnock emigrated to Brandon - joined the CEF in 1915 and fought at the Somme. He was awarded the DCM for bravery in this battle. His son Robert Warnock lives at Williams Lake . His son ( Robert) and family also live at Williams Lake. Two daughters live in Port Coquitlam and at Aldergrove.Although Robert Warnock (CEF) came from Gortin , County Tyrone - his father William may have come from another county. My Grandmother's name was Letitia Warnock.
I was in BC in late October/November this year and travelled to Williams Lake and down to the United States.

Regards

George Gordon Esq
