Would love to "talk" to you about Amanda Elizabeth
Marshall. Amanda is my great grandmother's (Matlida
Ann) half sister. Their mother is Caroline Griffin.
Matilda's father was William F. Alexander. "Mandy" as
she was sometimes called had at least 2 other
siblings: Robert and Mary Marshall. She also had a half
brother and another half sister. James Carney and
Eliza Alexander. Caroline was married at least three
times. Carney, Marshall and Alexander.

I have seen some genealogy histories where Amanda
father is purported to be Robert Marshall. I haven't
bought into that one as yet as I have seen no proof.

There is a good possiblity that Amanda's father is
Joseph F. Marshall but am still looking for
validation. I do have a copy of a marriage license
between a Caroline Griffin and Joseph F. Marshall, but
... no verification that this is the right marriage,
as yet, but I am still looking.

I read somwhere that Amanda married a Mitchell after
B.F. died. Is this true and if so, what was his first
name and where did they live? I know that Amanda was
a widow per the 1900 census. Also I seen her death
date as November 5, 1937 and not September 11, 1937 as
noted in your message. Which is it?

I have more information. Hope to "talk" to you soon.
