Decoding Hebrew Names

I'm trying to figure out if I can tell anything about relatives by the format of their Hebrew names. I know that "bat" means daughter of, and "ben" means Son of, but what about when there's multiple names? My second great-grandparents Hebrew names were Golda Tshorna bat Meir and Shlomo ben Yaakov Leib. So for instance, does that mean that Golda's middle name was Tshorna and her bother was Meir? Or does it mean her parents are Tshorna and Meir? And then does that mean that Shlomo's father was Yaakov Leib? So confused! I'd appreciate any help.

The name before "bat" or "ben" is the child's given name; the name after is the parent's name (most often the father's name).

Golda Tshorna (she had two given names; not exactly first and middle in the modern sense) was the daughter of Meir, and Shlomo was the son of Yaakov Leib.
