Surnames: WARD and SCOTT Family
I'm searching for my gr-grandparent John Ward. I've asked a few family members and they cannot remember anything or a conversation about him, therefore, I'm reaching out. If you are related and can help with a lead, it is very appreciated! I may/may not have the correct J. Ward on my tree but want to be sure with others who may have a connection with him or his family.

Here's what I've found so far. John Ward was married in 1904 to Gertrude "Girllie" surname Scott in Texas. They had two children: Joe Ward (birth date 1906, surname later changed to Scott) and Nina Mae Ward (birth date in 1908) from Jacksonville, Nacogdoches, TX.

John Ward's wife, Gertrude Scott-Ward passed in 1910 when she was 21 yrs old and John Ward would have been abt 27 years old in that year. Gertrude's father, Joseph 'Joe' Scott raised her two children along with his own children in TX. Nina and her brother Joe later moved to CA.

Who is John Ward? Where did he go when his wife passed? Was he born in Texas or elsewhere? Who were his parents? What is his middle name? Did he remarry and had more children, if so, who were they?

Thanks so much!

In Oct 2011, I tried to assist your research. Then, you found reason(s) to refute my findings. This is a New Year and, hopefully, a new beginning? If you are willing, I'll make another attempt? Be advised that genealogy can be difficult. Often, research will not progress seamlessly and logical reasoning must take place if you desire to succeed.

Hello HL2604, how are you? I expected an unnecessary smart remark from you and knew you'd respond. My thread is open to others not only to just you. If I remember correctly, the focus was on Scott and Govan. The ONLY response regarding John Ward you voluntarily gave me was that he's "listed as widowed stepson in household of his stepfather and mother".

How does the aforementioned refute what you discovered? I need more information apparently. That statement isn't enough for what I want to accomplish. You don't have to re-search again. Someone else has responded who doesn't take these threads personally nor use belittling remarks because they know-it-all. I appreciate your help as said before, and you can choose not to respond to my threads at this time and in the future.
