Would be interested in hearing for anyone who might have information on the following Garrabrant line:
Peter C and Ann (VanWinkle) Garrabrant
Amzi and Mary D (Post) Garrabrant
Dayton and Anna Cornelia (Garrabrant) Kierstead
I am interested in a joanna g. and possible munson garrabrant living in jersey city, and/or newark around the 1860's. they had a child named Laura. any info?
I may have what your looking for. Johanna Bunnell was the second wife of George Garrabrant. They had three daughters, Emma, Laura, and Charlotte. I believe Johanna married him around 1848. The girls were born
1850,1852, 1854 respectively. They lived in the Newark area in 1860. I'm looking for information on George. I believe he was born in Patterson, NJ around 1811-1813.
I have a peter Garbrant Sept12,1779-Dec 12,1825. married to Ann Van Winkle. They had 2 children: Catherine V B 9/18.1814-2/7/1892 and Abraham 1819 who had 7 children.
I also have some info on Amzi born in 1818 and died @ 12/14/1873. An Amzi appears in in the 1850 Census page 323. There was a daughter Laura born 11/19/1839 and died 12/19/1843. He may be buried in the Mt Pleasant cemetery in Newark. I also have an Amzi dob7/24/1834 son of Peter E or G who was baptised in Stone House Plains on 11/9/1834. There is also an Amzi who fought in the Civil War Co A 14th Connecticut Infantry He lived in Newark in 1863 and was a leather manufacturer. His pension application indicates he had a family. He was born 1828 or38.
I have your George, but I am afraid I don't have his line beyond that. I came across his info when looking for my own (different) George. I would be curious to have his parents' names though if you have them. Thank you, (you can email me direct at firstname.lastname@example.org
