I am the great, great grandson of Adonarum Judson Hester and Nancy E. Canard and would be very thankful for any information anyone can give me about the Canards of Izard and Stone County, Arkansas. Also, does anyone know if Canard, Kanard, Koonard etc are the same family.

Hi David. We must be related. My mother was Wanda Canard. Sam Hester was her father, and Adonarum Hester would have been her grandpa. I'm looking for similar information as well.

My son's 3rd great grandmother was Sarah Jane Canard daughter of David Allen Canard & Lyddia Bundy and sister to your great grandmother Nancy E, Canard. Sarah married James M. Clay & one of their daughters name was Mintie Clay who married William Nixon Clemmons & they had one daughter named Nora Viola "Lola" Clemmons who married Perry Isaac Tinker. My son comes through that line. I think the spelling of the name was changed along the way from Kinnaird to Canard.
