Thank you for posting the URL to the great web site for Henry Sr. Although it doesn't follow through all the way to my Merrifield line, it confirms info up through Joseph Merrifield (b 1 Jan 1740)who married Catherine Jillson. Anyone else from the line of their son, Levi?

For Daniel L. Giggy
Henry & Margaret had:
John Bapt. 15-Apr-1649, Mar. Sarah Goad (daughter of Richard and Phebe
Elizabeth Bapt 15-Apr-1649, Mar. Thomas Pope
Mary Bapt. 18-April-1652. I think she is the daughter who married a Furnell.
In 1671, it was ordered that a warrant should be directed to the Constable to go up to Capt. Clap's farm where Henry Merrifield lives, and enquire whether his daughter who married Furnell, be abiding at his house, which if she be, then to demand or take by distress ten shilling for his entertaining her contray to the town order"
Henry got in trouble with his son John. Town meeting 1st Oct. 1662, Ensigne Capen did testifie that Henry Merifeild and his sonne did fell ten trees in the 500 acres that was layd out for the non-Commoners and the the select men should take order for the getting of the fines of those aboue sayd." This was found in the 'HISTORY OF DORCHESTER"
Hannah Bapt 7-Apr-1650,Mar. Samuel Rigby, his second wife.
