In Lemonweir, Wis., April 23, 1895, Edward HARRISON, aged about 63 years.
The deceased was born in Ireland and came to this country when 16 years of age and settled near Portland, Maine. He came to this county in 1857 and engaged in farming on the land where he died. He was married to Miss Ellen Kilgore in 1864, who died about nine years ago. He leaves two daughters, Emily and Mary, and six sons, Robert, William, Herbert, Edward, Walter and Fred to mourn the death of a kind parent and father.
Mr. Harrison enlisted Sept. 13, 1864 in Co. E 1 Reg. , Wis., heavy artillery and was discharged June 26, 1865. He joined Angus S. Northrop Post No. 59, G.A.R. of this city June 20, 1888.
His funeral was conducted Thursday forenoon by the Post at 10 o’clock, Rev. M. B. Balch officiating. His sons Robert, of Freeport, Ill., and Herbert, of Stockton, Ill., and two sisters-in-law Mrs. Walter Waugh, of Lyle, Iowa and Mrs. Edwin Kilgore, of Otranto, Iowa, arrived here Wednesday to attend the funeral.
