Does anyone have any information on the Pressel family in southern York PA? Specifically, I am looking for information on Michael Pressel (b. 1787) and a George Pressel (1814-1894). I believe George is Michael's son, but I've not been able to find any information to confirm or refute this.

I know that Michael Pressel Sr. (1741-1814) bought land from Daniel Utz in the the 1790s and moved to southern York County. He was resident in Heidelberg PA in the 1810 and later censuses. He had a son named Michael Pressel Jr. who was born in 1787. I have him in the 1810 census in Heidelberg (listed as Bressel) and then I believe I've found the same person in Frederick Co. Maryland in 1820 under the name Pressle. I believe that this Michael Pressel had a son named George Pressel (1814-1894) who appears in the 1840 Census in Heidelberg PA. The family was Brethren. Michael Pressel Sr. attended the Upper Connawago Church and George Pressel is buried at Wildasin Meeting House.

Michael Pressel was born 5 Dec 1787. His father Michael married Elizabeth 20 Apr 1766.
Michael senior is in the Manheim Twp tax records from before 1800 until 1813. He has 155 A in 1800 and 1801 and then from 1803 until 1813 he has 94 A. From 1809 til 1813 he has no horses or cows. Michael Jr is single in 1808 but from 1809 til 1813 he has horses abd cows which a married man would have. They resemble the quantity of horses and cows his father had.
George Pressel sometimes Bressel shows up first in 1836 in Heidleburg Twp with 1 Horse and 1 cow. If born in 1814 he is 22 in 1836.
I know the census says they were in Heidleburg but the tax records say Manheim.
