MOFFATTS from North Sydney, Cape Breton

I'm descended from James Moffatt and Tabitha Mumford (she is a questionable descendant but fits with later info). They had a son John Moffatt (b.27 July 1777 - d. 13 Jun 1860) that married Mary Molineux (b.? - d. Nov 1851). James and John appear to be buried in the Union Cemetery located on Seaview Drive, North Sydney, near McCormick's Esso Service Station.

I've been looking for Mary's burial site to no avail.

Also looking for more info on James and if anyone can confirm his wife.

What I find is James was married in Newport, R.I. but his son John was listed as being born in N.Sydney, as was Mary.

The reason I said Tabitha Mumford may be correct is of the 16 children they had, amongst them is John Mumford Moffatt and Tabitha Elizabeth Moffatt. No where else in the family up to the current generation has those names appeared.

Thanks for any info
