I was just browsing on my computer, and a prompt pops up about family ancestry, and I input my last name (Sisney), I was shocked to view all the people with the last name Sisney. I relly thought that there wasn't too many of us left, it's very you meet someone with the last name of SISNEY. I would like to chat with some of you all, maybe (probably) ww might be related down the line.

I am a Sisney Decendant, my mother was born Sharon Hope Sisney, her dad was George Churchill Sisney, his parents were William Franklin Sisney and Lucinda Jane Garrison-Sisney. I have much information on the Garrison line but all I know about the Sisney line is my papa and I know he had a brother named Charlie and a sister named Myrtle there were other brothers and sisters but I do not know their names. If any one has more information on this line of Sisney's please let me know. Thank you Rose

Hi Kathy,
Thanks for posting your message on Temple Winchester Sisney. My father-in-law, Revis Evert Sisney is 89 years old and although his memory is getting a little fuzzy, he is still pretty sharp. He worked on genealogy when he was younger but could never really get back earlier than Temple Winchester. I'm trying to work on it so that perhaps he can hear about his roots before he's gone from this earth. He keeps thinking he descends from the French and perhaps he does but my mother was dead sure that my dad's line was British because our last name was Holwick and she thought of all the British "wicks" but after much time and research I found that our name coming to this country in 1742 from Germany was Holbein and spelled hundreds of ways throughout the generations here in America. I know this is not a unique story. I'm learning as I go. I'd appreciate your sharing information and I will do the same. what is your e-mail address? Mine is sisney@swbell.net.
