Well,hi Jan. When I went to Liberty Center to look up my roots. I had gone to Young's and Wright's Cementery. I have contacted the caretaker of the cementeries. This gentleman has told me that all the Heft' form Liberty Center are related. I live in Haskins, just across the Maumee River. So I am pretty sure that we are related, we just have to find out how. Through my research, I have come to the conclusion the the Heft's moved to Liberty Center from Fairfield County near Logan Ohio, from there they came from either Pennsylvina or Germany. If you Email @ I will give you a copy of some obits I have. Brad

Hi. I don't think we're from the same branch of the Hefft family (maybe?), but I was stunned to find out you have the same name as my brother Brad(ley) Hefft. We're from Owego, NY. My father's name is Frank Hefft. His family gave one branch of the family an extra "F" to the name because the mail kept getting mixed up. His parents, Ralph and Elsie Brown Hefft, lived in the Wilkes-Barre, PA area until they moved to NY in the 30's I believe.

Would love to hear from you to hear more about any of the Hefft family.

We live in NW Ohio and come from Liberty Center, Ohio. I have traced my roots to Fairfield County, Ohio in the early 1830's. This persons name is Noah Heft. From there I am guessing he came from Pennsylvina, and from there maybe the Germany Area.

Brad or any other Heft, If your still looking for Hefts, have you found any Hefts that were born in Chelsey, ON, Canada? My husbands grandfather was born there. His name was Frederick Heft. His father also Frederick and his mother was Gustima Moehnke. They moved to the Portland, Oregon area and Echo, Oregon. If you have any information on any of them, would really appreciate it. Cheryl
