I am looking for the ancestors and siblings of my grandparents Joseph John BALDYGA (born 15 January 1885) and Mary Maya ANDRZEJCZYK (born 6 January 1886). Both from Dudy, Suwalskie (Now Warminsko-Mazurskie). I believe Dudy is near the town of Kreuzofen (Krzyc).

They were married in West Warren, Massachusetts in about 1907. Joseph and Mary had five children, all born in Clinton, Massachusetts: Rosalie V., Joseph F., Walter J., Helen A., and Irene M. BALDYGA.

Joseph's father may have been Martin BALDYGA. Mary Maya's parents were John ANDRZEJCZYK and Louise GROMELSKI

Hi Rita,

I have been on a business trip, and just saw your message today.

Since Stanislaus was from Dudy, we probably have a connection. Possibly he is a cousin of my grandfather, Joseph John Baldyga, or maybe even a brother.

If you will provide you personal email address, I will give you some details on my Baldyga family. Maybe we can find the connection.

My email address is

Hi Rita,
I see it's been a long time since you were on ancestry. I hope you are still available. My mother was Rose Baldyga and her parents were Joseph and Mary (ANDRZEJCZYK) Baldyga. I remember visiting relatives in New Britain, Ct. Maybe you can check there for you family.
My grandparents both worked in the silk mills in West Warren, Ma and Clinton, Ma. From talking to an historian in West Warren, I learned that they tried to unionized the mills in the early 1920's and that a lot of people moved rather that going through all the union battles.
Please me know if you he found ay additional information about your family. Perhaps we are related!
My daughter lives one town over from New Britain and if you can get any information, I will be happy to do a little research for you.
