My Freeman ancestors came from Monroe Co., New York. Parish Moses Freeman (s/o of Amos and Dorcas (Parish) Freeman) was born 11-23-1832. He was one of nine children--I don't have the names of the others. Their son, Parish Moses Freeman, married Mary A. Davis (of Ct.).... Any cross references?

I don't have that information; however, location and name suggest that it is a relative. Would love to share what I have with you.

Hello Catherine,
Do you know who Parish Freeman's parents are by chance? I will try to access the 1910 Federal Census for Kalamazoo Co. MI this week. He sounds like he might be a relative. Maybe named after our Parish Freeman.

Good Luck

Looking for Parish Freeman, son of Walter J. Freeman, brother of George, Thelma and Vivian. Both shown on 1920 Federal Census in Kalamazoo, Michigan. I believe this Parish Freeman is the missing father of sons Bruce Lee Freeman b. January 3, 1946 in Kankakee, Illinois and Gary James Freeman b. June 11, 1948

Our Parish Moses Freeman's parents were Amos Freeman and Dorcas Parish. We believe that our Amos' last name was Ames, his first name either Stephen or Moses or both--as yet totaly unproven but handed down fromgeneration to generation there must be some truth!

Would be interested in learning more about your Freeman family. It is very possible they are related to our Freeman family. Parish & Halow are repeated first names for some generations. There are still some gaps in the family tree we would like to fill in. Below is the known first generation of our Freeman family. Something might ring a bell in your search.

Hi Debbie,
Thanks for the reply. Have only information on Parish, born about 1908 in (Michigan, believe it was Kalamazoo), who married Dorinda Dionne Southey about 1944 in Kalamazoo. Found Walter J. Freeman on 1920 Cencus with sons Parish and George. Confirmation of a brother George was made by Dorinda. Parish had two sons from this marriage, Bruce Lee and Gary James both born in Kankakee County Illinois. Neither boys have any information on their father or his family other than the brothers name and the Kalamazoo location.

Walter J. Freeman was born about 1874 according to the cencus data. It is possible that Walter is a grandchild of Amos Freeman and Dorcas Parish...Need to find the connection of descendents and ancestors. Can you or anyone help me out? Thanks

Probably won't help, but I have a signature in my Gr Grma's autograph book of a C. M. Freeman of Fowlerville, Livingston Co, NY dated 1881. Just thought I'd let you know, in case you are interested.
