My information gives him a brother, Joseph, and 2 sisters, Bina(sp?) and Delma. I don't have any date or place information on anyone in this family. If you have any information I would appreciate hearing from you.

I am just starting to research this family so I don't have much information. His parents were Joseph & Alice (LaJoie) St.Andre. His siblings were Joe, Maurice, Adele, Marie, my grandpa Adelore, Albina, Josephine & Eva. A sister Nora died in infancy. My grandparents are buried in Ishpeming, MI. I hope this is some help.

Surnames: St. Andre and Botquin
I am interested in any St. Andre (various spellings) and would like to correspond with you. My ancestor was Pierre dit St. Andre Botquin, born St. Pierre, Sauman, Anjou, France. He married
Marie Claude Bourgouin and they migrated to Canada. I know there were some St. Andre and Botquin soldiers and farmers in Fort Detroit with Champlain and that the were descendents of Pierre and Marie. If you have any information on these families, I would appreciate a reply. I would be ver happy to furnish you a copy of the family tree beginning with Pierre and up to my great-granchildren. I have a very good tree on CD and can send it.
Thanks for your time and hoping to hear from you, I am,
Lester

Lester, the St. Andres are my husbands ancestors. Everything I can find(census) has his line coming from French Canada, and settling in upper Michigan. Do you have any information on this line? I would appreciate any info you might have. Thanks.

Melanie,
Some of the St. Andre and Botquin (the original name) were at Fort Detroit as soldiers and as merchants and farmers.
We know there was a Charles St. Andre and a Joseph Botquin that went there from the Montreal area of Canada.
They were descendents of Pierre dit St. Andre Borquin.
Don' have any information after that as my data explores my direct ancestors after Pierre St. Andre III. Our clans are settled in Michigan, the New England states, Canada,
of course Louisiana, Utah, California and all points from
Canada. The name originated in France and in the 1600s, Pierre dit St. Andre was born. He married Marie Claude Borgouin and they migrated to Canada. They had a son named Pierre St. Andre Botquin and he in turned had a son named Pierre Botquin St. Andre. From there we have become very well established in the Louisiana area and in New England. As I said, also in Michigan.

Ellen, I am so glad you posted! Exina St. Andre is my husbands great grandmother. Grandma tell us her aunts and uncles were Bena, Delma, Wilford and Joseph. There could others that she can't remember. Exina was born in french-Canada, to Joseph St. Andre and Elise or Louise LaParche. I can't find any immigration information or locality info about where in Canada the St. Andres came from. I am not even sure if I have all of the brothers and sisters in this family. If you or your daughter have any info I would greatly appreciate if you would share it with me. Thanks, Melanie
