Ed, The only information I have is that the parents of Samuel Hoffert were John and Margaret Hoffert. No dates, no maiden name, no parents' names. Sorry!

I have Louisa Luckenbach, born Dec. 23, 1799 in my family tree, she is a sister to my 4th great-grandfather John David Luckenbach. You said you know her parents and grandparents' names. I have her parents listed as John Adam Luckenbach and Maria Magdalena Becker. I know John Adam's parents but have unable to find Maria Magdalena's. If you have this information, could you please send it to me?

In the 1850 census, there was a Joseph Hoffert, age 70 ,living next door to Samuel and Louisa. Joseph was living with an Edward and Catherine Moll. Joseph was born in PA. Catherine and Edward had a daughter named Louisa. Catherine was 33 in 1850. I would think that Catherine was related to Samuel. My ggg grandmother was Louisa Hoffert, b. 1823. She married a Jacob Warg from Bethlehem. Does anyone know if Samuel & Louisa had a daughter Louisa?

According to the Marriage Records of the Bethlehem [Moravian] Congregation Samuel Hoffert was a farmer in Fountain Hill. He and his wife Louisa had 12 children. I have names of only 4: Johann Adam Reuben (1820), Robert (1824), Mary Ann Rebecca (1834), and Adelaide Elizabeth (1839). Samuel died 21 March 1863 and is buried in the Moravian graveyard (God's Acre) in Bethlehem. I also have spouses names of three of the four children.

I have found names for 8 of the children. Where did you find the information that stated they had 12?

The Marriage Records of the Bethlehem (Moravian) Congregation includes the statement that they had 12 children. The volume is in the Moravian Archives, Bethlehem, PA. I have names for only 4 of them. "Marriage Records" does not include names.
