Researching family of Jackson McDaniel of Gwinnett Co., Ga. He came here from Anderson, SC. Born abt. 1812 (?),
he was married 3 times in Gwinnett Co., Ga. 1: Mahala Cook
2: Martha Ramey (several children from this marriage)
3: Potia Beam (children of this marriage also)

My direct link to him is through his son Henry, b. Gwinnett Co. He was married twice. 1: Tecia Hannah 2: Lucy Williams. One of the sons of Lucy Williams and Henry McDaniel was my grandfather.

I am particularly interested in the Williams branch. My grandfather often said that his grandmother was full-blood Creek woman. Have no other info. Don't know which grandmother.

Have lots of info on McDaniel, but none on Ramey or Williams. Any help will be appreciated. I will share what I have on McDaniel.

My great grandmother, Minerva E. Williams, was also full-blooded native American. We thought she was Cherokee, but Creek is also possible. She was born November 7, 1869 in Gwinnett County and died October 18, 1942. I haven't been able to locate her death certificate, but she is buried with her husband, James Monroe Brown, in Bethlehem, Barrow County, Georgia. I have information about his family back to about 1800, but nothing about hers. I'm happy to share what I have. I have a picture of Minerva taken about 1935 if you are interested.

Hello: I am very interested in any information you may have on Eliza Jane McDaniel, born May 1924 in Cherokee, NC. I believe that she was the daughter of Thomas S. McDaniel and Sally Raper (not sure if they were married). Henry Mathis, Jane's son, was my gg-grandfather.

My grandfather was John Calvin McDaniel. William James McDaniel is my ggrandfather. I've been trying to follow my ancestry back, but I don't get very far. I'd like more information about Andrew as well. If you would like to contact me, maybe we can match some info and further or update what we have. I will check back in a couple of weeks. In time, I would like to follow both sides of the tree and see where it leads.
