Hi there. Hoping someone can help me out. I'm looking for my father-in-law's great grandfather. Here are the facts I have:

-born in 1837
-married a Marie or Mary
-had a fair share of kids! (Adesse, Adelaide aka Eliza, Sophie, Angel, George, Lilley, Simon and Sylvester)
-I know he lived in Richmond, Nova Scotia from about 1881-1911

I'm hoping to find a marriage record for him. I'm also looking for both of their parents. Any tips help - thanks!!

I believe you will find that George's parents were Henry and Felicity (Sampson) Landry.
1881 Census.
Henery LANDRIE M Male French 59 Nova Scotia Catholic
Flesity LANDRIE M Female French 67 Nova Scotia Catholic
River Bourgeois, Richmond, Nova Scotia
George and Mary and their four children at the time, resided with Henry in the 1871 Census. George had a sister Marine who married Louis Burke. Marine died in 1935 and her son confirms her parents were Henry and Felicity (Sampson) Landry.

Here is the correct information from the Marriage registers of River Bourgeois, NS

George LANDRY s/o Simon Landry & Marie Samson
Marie BOURG d/o Désiré Bourg & Édesse Samson
married River Bourgeois, NS [St-Jean-Baptiste Ch.] 7 Jan 1862
witnesses: Simon Landry, father of groom; Désiré Bourg, father of bride; Alexandre Morin & Thomas Samson

George's father, Simon Landry was the son of Thomas Landry (s/o Pierre Landry & Anne Clergé) & Madeleine Deveau (d/o Joseph Deveau & Scholastique Landry

If your George was aged 42 years old in the 1881 census, he could NOT have been the son of the Henry (Honoré) Landry and Félicité Samson of the previous message, as they only married in 1847, well after your George's birth.
