I am looking to connect with anyone who as ties to Arlie Vanhoose and Emma Culwell. Arlie was b. 1884 in J.C. Ky and died 1966 in J.C.Ky Emma was born June 1888 in J.C.Ky d/o William & Elizabeth McKenzie Culwell. Emma and Arlie married on August 10,1906 in J.C.Ky their known children are: Russell, Earl, Hershel, Minnie, Rusha, Carmel, Raymond and Eria May....Hershel was suppose to of killed himself but we can find nothing on him...we do not know where or where Emma died..and we have a lot of missing spaces on this family line. Please if anyone can help, contact me!

Arlie VanHoose, age 82, died Friday, August 19, 7p.m. at his home at Sitka after and extended illness. The funeral services were held Monday, August 22, 1 p.m. at the home with Bruce Daniel officiating. Born January 18, 1881 in Johnson County, he was a son of the late Frank and Lusina Pelphrey VanHoose. Spending his lifetime at Sitka, VanHoose was a retired miner and a member of the Free Will Baptist Church. His wife the former Delsie Salyer survives. Additional survivors include: four sons, Carmel, Ray and Earl of Sitka and Russell of Brooksfield, Ohio: three daughters, Mrs. Minnie Burks and Mrs. Rusha Gaver of Mechanicsburg, Ohio and Mrs. Euria May Fairchilds of Woodstock, Ohio; two brothers, Ben of Sitka, and Kenof McArthur, Ohio: and five sisters, Mrs. Hemmie Selvage of Paintsville, Mrs. Hattie Pelphrey of Wabash,Indiana, Mrs. Delsie Jones of McArthur, Ohio, Mrs. Serina Jones of Flat Gap, and Mrs. Jennie Patrick of Sitka. Interment followed in the VanHoose family cemetery at Sitka under the direction of the Jones-Preston Funeral Home.
