No, unfortunately, but if in your replies you find anyone descended from Thomas Patrick Tierney, b1888, St Kilda, Victoria, Australia, I'd love to hear of them. Tom, my father's eldest brother, left his home in Preston, Vic in 1906, returned once, having travelled to the USA, & was never heard of again. Long before I started researching family history family members had searched for him, but with no luck. His parents were William & Margaret, nee Lynch, Tierney. His brothers were William, Patrick, Edward & Hugh, my father, 1898-1958.

Are you still around on this message board? I recently came across John Tierney of Ardee while researching my McCabes from Co. Louth. It seems John Tierney was married twice, 1st to Bridget Nevin, 2nd to a Bridget McCabe. I believe 2nd wife Bridget McCabe was a sister of my great grandfather. Would love to compare notes with you. If you see this message, please respond.
