Does anyone have info on Aaron? He is the
son of Jacobus (wife unknown) and number 152
in the Swartwout Chronicles. I am trying to
see if he is the Aaron who is listed as the
inheritor of land from Christian Minar in
Schoharie Co NY - Christian was the father of
Mary Minar b.1783 who married an Aaron
Swarthout in Schoharie Co in 1805and had at
least 2 children James O.and Margaret. I am
desc from James O. Swartwout b1810-11
Schoharie Co NY he married Anna Salisbury.
Thank you

This turns out not to be the Aaron I'm seeking.
He was born in 1762 21 years before Mary
Minar. This Aaron had a son Aaron but is too
young to be the Aaron who married Mary Minar
(aka Polly Meynhart) in Schoharie Co 1805.
Does anyone have a list of Aaron Sr's brother
Moses' children? He was married in Goshen to
Martha Holly in 1779 so he could have had an
Aaron old/young enough to marry Mary.
Thank you

James Margaret Swarthout

My 4gr-grandfather was William Minar b. Apr 11, 1806 in Sharon, Schoharie, NY son of John Meinert(Minar) son of Christian Meinert (Minar). He married a Margaret Swarthout b. Aug 4, 1811 in NY. Is this the sister to James Swarthout? I thought maybe their father was Aaron Swarthout.

That is the right Margaret Swartwout. I am
stuck on Aaron's parents. He married Maria
Minar daughter of Christian in 1805 at Ger.
Ref. Church, New Rhinebeck, Cobleskill,
Schoharie, NY. I have a little on the Minar's.
Aaron was born 1775-1780 according to the
census. Thank you

Classification: Query
Surnames: Minar, Miner, Minor Myndert--probably others
My William Minar was the one born 8-31 1791. He is buried in Cooper Twp., Kalamazoo Co., Michigan in East Cooper Cemetery. The cemetery records show that also buried on the same lot are "child of Alex" (no problem there, Alex is William's son) and also "child of Jack"---Can anyone help me determine what connection Jack has? I have a brother named Jack and never knew that he was named for an ancestor and now no one to ask. The tree goes William, Alexander, Willard, Alex, and the down to Jack(my brother} Thanks for any help you can give..
