Giem family in Emmet County

Surnames: Giem, Branch, Clark
I hope to find a connection between the Emmet County Giem families and other Giem's in Michigan who are descendents of Albert Giem of Germany and Sarah Ann Rigby Giem of Ireland who married and lived in New Philadelphia OH, then moved to Kalamazoo County (Portage) MI. Four of their children, Frank, William, Archie, and John were railroad engineers. Three of them worked on the Grand Rapids and Indiana railroad which ran from Ft. Wayne to Boyne Falls. The original Albert Giem farm in Portage is still owned by a Giem, Seth Giem II. My Giem connection is my grandmother, Ida Giem Branch of Pavilion Twp, Kalamazoo County, who was a daughter of Albert and Sarah. William Giem, mentioned above, lived in Boyne Falls. Any information about an Emmet County connection would be appreciated.

Note: John Giem's daughter, Gretha, who grew up in Kalamazoo and moved to Los Angeles married someone named Clark.
