What year is your first record from KY?
KY has some cool sites that have info for free.
Where did he marry his wives? same county?
I'm trying to help someone else with their Douglases who were in Barren co, KY & Jefferson co, Ind. I've run into a Thomas or 3 there.

Julie, this info was arranged by my grandmother through a paid researcher. Hope this helps. Tom:

The first records found thus far for Thomas H Douglass are in Madison County, KY which reveals he married Anna McCord, August 25, 1809, bondsman, Wm. Karr. The only child recorded born of this marriage was a daughter, Ann McCord Douglass, born 1810. (Possibly there were 2 others.)

After the death of his first wife, he married Myrum (Miriam) Terrill on September 12, 1815 in Garrard County, KY. Her name is various spelled Myrum, Mirum, or Miriam and is pronounced Mire-um. A Garrard County, KY deed shows Miriam.

Okay - it looks like his 2nd wife's father was a patriot. I found this on the DAR database (free). There were 3 entries for her, but he's just listed as the husband, and they are all from the same daughter.

4.The Said Permelia Douglass was the child of Cross Reference Search
Terrill, Miriam Thomas H Douglass born on - Feb - 1785 at _______________ died at Sibley Jackson Co MO on 10 - Jan - 1847 and his ( 2nd ) wife Miriam Terrill born on 8 - Jan - 1847 at Garrard Co KY died at Sibley Jackson Co MO on 27 - May - 1849 married on 12 - Sep - 1815

Okay - I've got my answer - Missouri - which has some pretty good stuff online for free :-)

You probably already have this info. There is another entry on the probate in 1847, but no will attached to it. I don't know if this will lists children or siblings, or maybe parents...

Jackson County Probate Court, 1834-1857

Title Series Will Records
Contributor File Name Douglas, Thomas H.
Date Date Filed 1841

not sure if Missouri had any newspapers for possible obits or not.

Okay, still haven't found his parents.
for some reason, I can't get the Ketucky, genweb site to work. :-(

- the will probably says something like this:

I found this on the Madison co. KY mailing list archives from 2007

Seeking additional information on the Henry LAWLIN/LAUGHLIN mentioned in Court Order Book B, 1791-1801.

Henry died in 1812 and his widow, Margaret MNU, with children John (Rebecca WALKUP), Sarah "Sallie" (John HENDERSON) and Mary "Polly" (Robert Alexander WALKUP) removed to Howard County, Missouri about 1817. Two older LAUGHLIN children, Isabelle (William DOUGLASS) and Charles (Rosannah BOND) removed to the St. Louis area about 1810. Another son, Henry (Sarah COCHRAN), removed to the Big Muddy area in Randolph County, now Jackson County, Illinois about the same time (1810).

Any information or clues about this family will be greatly appreciated.
